About

My couples love how much I get swept up in their day, and because of that, my photos are carefully considered and capture the vibe of their wedding.

Dan Higginson, wedding photographer

About Me

Hi, I’m Dan. I’m a documentary wedding photographer based in Kent, photographing weddings across the UK and beyond.

My work is rooted in presence rather than orchestration. I’m drawn to weddings as they actually unfold, the relationships, the in-between moments, and the rhythm of the day as it’s lived, not performed.

Let's Talk

Long after the day, your photographs are what you’ll return to.

A documentary approach

I photograph weddings with a documentary sensibility, focusing on how the day feels rather than directing how it should look.

Most of the time, I’m moving with the pace of the day, close to what’s happening, photographing from within the moment rather than from the edges. When it’s needed, I’ll step in briefly to guide portraits in a relaxed way. The aim is always the same: photographs that feel honest, considered, and true to your experience.

I edit with care for consistency and tone, without altering the context of a photograph.

Presence & care

Alongside my wedding work, I maintain long-term documentary projects and regularly review portfolios with photographers at different stages of their careers. Both inform how I see and how I work.

Outside of photography, I make time for the things that ground me, cinema, good drinks with my partner Tanya, and slowing things down. That balance matters. It helps me arrive fully present and attentive on wedding days.

What matters most

Every wedding is different, but my focus remains consistent: to document the relationships, atmosphere, and moments that matter to you, without turning the day into a production.

If your wedding feels important not just for how it looks, but for how it’s experienced, you’ll likely find the rest of my work reflects that same intention.
